Leadership at Mission Heights

There are a lot of opportunities to be a leader at Mission Heights, from being apart of Sports Council, Language Committee, Cultural council, Enviro council and much more. You can also show leadership by putting your hand up to coach or mentor specific groups. For e.g if you had a passion for a certain sport you could help coach players for their game for a leadership cornerstone. If you know how to play an instrument really well you could apply for Music council and become a music tutor, this will show great leadership as you are taking up your time to teach students. If you are into organising events or setting up food festivals, Cultural council is the right council for you. Planning events requires great leadership because you need great time management, organisation, teamwork etc. All these qualities listed are the qualities that great leaders have. Executive council is considered as the top council in school, to be in this council you would of had to displayed great leadership skills to your pairs and teachers and also participate in all four cornerstones (cultural, leadership, sport, academic). The Executive council are in charge of mufti's and other school events, so having great teamwork and leadership skills can support your chances of getting into this council. So here are just a few examples of how to display leadership at our school, make sure you hand in your applications on time.
